Why
Buy Used? |
Have Excess Equipment? Please let us know. We are always willing to purchase or trade for your excess equipment.
At LMDC we have
the good fortune and opportunity to purchase excellent equipment at very
good prices.
We are passing these opportunities
for savings on to you - but even so,
to paraphrase a business
associate and friend:
IT GIVES EXTRA QUALITY FOR THE PRICE:
There are many reasons to consider buying used equipment for your
manufacturing, prototype and R&D requirements. Foremost are
price and availability. The level of quality at a price level
is another reason. Excellent used equipment ususlly sells for
between 25% and 75% of the cost of new equipment.
IT IS AVAILABLE BECAUSE:
Used equipment is available for many reasons having nothing to
do with the equipment, itself: 1) It is no longer required, 2)
The business is moving or closed for one reason or another, 3)
There has been a change in management plans, 4) The product line
has changed in a significant way, and finally, 5) The company
worked itself into dire financial straits. In many cases, because
of tax writeoffs, it is to the advantage of the company to sell
to us cheaply.
THE CONDITION IS EXCELLENT BECAUSE:
Here in Silicon Valley, the machines we purchase are often in "like new" condition
because they have been maintained to state of the art performance levels, and
operated in clean-room
enviroments where there is no dust to stimulate wear on mechanical
parts.
WE GUARANTEE IT:
Unless otherwise stated, our intention is to sell equipment in
working condition. We repair as necessary, and offer with a 30
or 60 day parts-only warranty. (There are exceptions to this policy:
Exceptions include items with a short life such as some laser
tubes.) Please note, we don't call this reconditioning.
THE POPULAR "RECONDITIONING" MYTH:
Did you ever wonder what advertisers mean when they list equipment
(such as disk drives) as "reconditioned" ? We do, too.
In practice it can mean anything from nothing to a complete rebuild,
but in many cases (consider disk drives) only the manufacturer
can actually do the job at all.
We consider reconditioning to be complete disassembly, inspection,
adjustment, and replacement of all wearing parts. We try to avoid
the purchase of equipment in need of reconditioning
LMDC, THE COMPANY
has years of experience. We can sell you a single component out
of our large inventory, or design and configure a complete laser
system designed to meet your specific requirements. Generally,
you can save the most money by purchasing a used equipment in
excellent condition from us and integrating it yourself with the
latest control electronics which we can supply. We can show you
how to do this yourself, or we will do it for you.
SERVICES WE OFFER TO SELLERS:
We also liquidate inventories. If you are planning a significant
asset disposal, we can help with direct sales or we can conduct
a sale on your behalf. We are also experienced in working with
professional auctioneers and appraisers to maximize the benefits
to the seller, and can also assist you in this area.
SOME OF OUR CUSTOMERS:
Our worldwide customer base includes major corporations and national
research centers. We can arrange for shipping anywhere on the
globe. Make an appointment to visit our warehouses conveniently
located equally close to San Jose, San Francisco and Oakland airports.
OUR INVITATION TO YOU:
Please give us a call or email when you are thinking about buying or selling equipment,
or developing and implementing a new application involving "Lasers & Motion".
